I <3 New York!

Hey ladies and gents,

So me and Johnny are preparing to escape Boston for the time being - we'll be spending the weekend in NYC, enjoying all the music, clubs, and nightlife that you New Yawkers have to offer us :) And yes, I will be wearing my cutest, pinkest BOSTON RED SOX hat just to piss you all off! Haha. Well, not at night... baseball caps don't quite match my evening-wear ensemble... ;)

With our trip in mind, I thought this would be a good opportunity to blog about something new that you all will be seeing at DIVA DIVO soon. Here's the deal: Me and Johnny are going to spend a funfilled weekend in New York City, where there's probably a club show at every corner... a DJ spinning, a performer wailing on the mic, whatever. Point is, right now no single resource seems to exist to give us the details on all of that. I mean, what are you supposed to do? Research every club in New York City? Go to each website? Just to see who's playing?




Wouldn't it be nice if there was one place where I could go, and be like, "hey, I'm in New York City this weekend (or Las Vegas, or Chicago, or St. Paul Minnesota, whatever!)... what diva and divo is around to see?"

WELL... that's exactly what the DIVA DIVO peeps are working on. You'll notice a button called TOUR DATES on the home page. Right now it's under construction, but in April you can check that to find a searchable database of cities, dates, and performers... and the next time you're on vacation, gone for a weekend getaway, or just hanging out in your home city, you can find out who is playing near you!!

So what do you think of that?? I'll pass the info on to the Powers that Be, and we promise that we'll take your ideas to heart... after all, we live to serve! :) Haha.

Anyway, I think it's going to be a huuuuuge benefit to the site, and to all you readers. I mean, imagine a world where you don't have to rely on glossy postcards, left on barstools and littered on the sidewalk, to fill you in on what's going on. Isn't it an amazing thought? ;)

Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow, guys. Almost time to hit the road... probably a 4 hour drive or so? Thank GOD for XM BPM, right??
