GOSSIP: New Lucas Prata Duet

Hey everybody,

Hope you're all having a great weekend. It's not over quite yet!

I've got a little insider juice for you about our first DIVO on the site: Lucas Prata.
Hot off his recent duet with Reina, Mr. Prata has recorded another collaboration... this time, with Kim Sozzi. Here's a hint to the song (sing along with me, now): "I was workin' as a waitress in a cocktail bar..."

You got it! A remake of the Human League song "Don't You Want Me." How hot is that? According to Lucas, they've performed it once together at a club show in NYC at the end of '06. Right now, they're waiting to see what the label wants to do with it, as far as a commercial release goes...

For one, I'd love to hear it. Keep your fingers crossed it sees the light of day. And given the recent success of other 80s dance remakes (like "Listen to Your Heart"), I think this one totally has potential for mainstream radio play.

Any other 80s songs you'd like to hear get new life in dance music? I'd be up for hearing "Take On Me" by A-ha with a solid beat behind it, wouldn't you? Haha.

Anyhow, there's your dance music gossip of the weekend. Remember, if you've got something to share, drop me a line: Johnny@divadivodance.com

Signing off for now,
Johnny
