Slow day, but we'll be back to normal tomorrow...
One of our favorite artists, AMBER, recently relayed a personal story about an outing with her mother and friend/producer Wolfram Dettki.
The story is almost unreal... first of all, the situation is such a coincidence, you can hardly believe it. But then... what happens next... oh my!
Well, read for yourself. But let's just say, from our point of view, this reminds us why Amber is SUCH a Diva: she's real, she's down to earth, she's gorgeous, she has a sense of humor (very important!), and most of all, she's a classy lady who handles herself in good spirit.
So here's Amber's crazy story, in her own words...

Amber with her mom, September 2007
Okay- so I thought that I had to share this story with you....
As many of you already know, my Mom and my producer Wolfram came by as a surprise all the way from Germany to celebrate my birthday on the 17th this month...
They also announced that they would be staying for a full 3 weeks with me and of course I am delighted to have some family around me...it just does not happen often enough...
Anyway- so while I am working and taking care of many other things, I also try to plan trips with them- so they can get to know the area and experience some other surroundings...
Yesterday happened to be one of those days where I decided to take them to New Hope, PA which is a really cute, very old historic village with many little stores and restaurants directly at the Delaware river.
My Mom is in heaven, as she loves to photograph and roam through little art shops...it is almost to the point that you do not really get to move forward...she is "oohing" and "aaahing" at every corner...lol.
The weather was lovely and it was a little crowded for my taste...but I guess that is what Sundays are about...
As we were walking around, I said to my Mom that I noticed that there were many gays in that neighborhood and that many of them also run little businesses over there...you know me and my gaydar...honey- wherever you looked...so I said to my Mom:..."Thank God I walk around casual enough (honestly, I walk around like a hot mess in my free time..lol) so that they do not really recognize me"...bc if they would...I would not get out of there in one piece...so we were joking a little bit about that...
After a few hours, we decided to sit down in a lovely restaurant right at the Delaware river to have a little meal.
It was called "the Landing" at 22 North Main Street.
Of course...the waiter was GAY!!
He was cute and very polite and did a great job...so my Mom and my producer started joking about it a bit and said..."what do you think he would do if he knew who you were"...and I am ABSOLUTELY so not into letting people know...I like my privacy...
But once I saw that look on my Mom's face, I got horrified....I know that shady grin...
I saw the waiter just heading our way and I said to her..."Mom- I am warning you...if you dare to say something...I swear to"....and there the waiter was...
My Mom starts to sing the "li da di" part of my song "sexual li da di"....I was soooo embarrassed...and hoped that it would just go away and he would just do his job...but no- of course he jumped on it and said...
"I love that song...it's by Amber....(but here comes the part that he said where I almost choked...)- "Did you see her?? She got REALLY FAT!!!!!"
I saw my producer Wolfram trying to keep his act together and my Mom kept talking to him trying to act like nothing happened and then they went on talking about Britney Spears and other artists....so I just ended up in the conversational line of all the "fallen artists"....
When that waiter left the table...we all just fell into a really hysterical laugh....
So here is a message for you Danny....which was his name btw...
I have never been a size 0-2 girl, honey, and never will be...I am 5 foot 9.5 inches and weigh in at a proud 160 pounds.
Until a few years back I used to have one bad habit...and that was smoking cigarettes...but I decided to stop and of course I gained a little weight- so I went from a size 8-10 to a size 10-12.....which is a very average size for a healthy woman out there.
Yes- I do exercise and I also eat healthy....and I am NOT OBESE, okay!
My Mom and Wolfram tried to persuade me to leave him a little message and autograph on a napkin to give him a little heart attack but I refused....
So here is to you, Danny Boy...I love my gays and I am thankful for their loyalty toward my music and career...
Life is about so many more things...it is about Health, Family, Love, Happiness and Soul....and I take that any day over being a size 2 to fit in......
I might not be your perfect Diva but I love you anyway....!
Smooches,
Amber
Well said, Miss A!!
Love,
JADE
PS. I'm no Size 0 either, Danny. But if you say that to me, I might not be so kind! ;) lol
