Hope you all had an awesome weekend!
Cool news... it's not often you see people in the dance community release "Greatest Hits" albums, mainly because they're lucky if they can score one or two smash singles... never mind enough to fill an album ;)
But next week Paul Oakenfold is doing just that! Greatest Hits & Remixes is going to have 20 tracks, both original Oakenfold productions and his biggest remixes. Check out the full tracklisting below:

Bear in mind that Mr. Oakenfold is considered "World's Most Popular DJ" according to the Guinness Book of World Records. He's certainly one of the most impactful!
Interesting that "Sorry" was the remix chosen to represent Oakenfold's work with Madonna... I actually thought "American Life" was his best. It salvaged an otherwise iffy track... I always wondered if that single (it was one of Madonna's biggest "flops" - comparatively speaking, of course) would have had better chances if the Oakenfold edit had been released instead. I remember here in Boston, Kiss 108 (our Top 40 radio station) started playing that instead of the officially released album version. It was actually more radio-friendly!
Okay, I digress :) Anyway, cool stuff. Here's to many more hits, Paul!
JOHNNY
PS... Random trivia: Before he was the huge producer/DJ we know today, Paul worked as an A&R Consultant for Profile Records and Def Jam. Among the biggest acts he signed? You'd probably recognize the names Salt N Pepa and Will Smith ;)
