Time for all of you to fire up your TIVO to record a favorite DIVO (oh man, how cute am I? haha).
We just heard that Ari Gold will be appearing this Friday and Saturday on the IFC Indie Sex Series. IFC (Independent Film Channel) is doing a four day series on sex in the media... and we're told that Ari the hottie will be included in the episodes airing August 3rd and 4th. Check the IFC website for your local channels and times.
I'm not sure how Ari fits in to the series (it seems to be about sex in film, not music), but there's no doubt that he's been a pretty big influence in sex in media. He was, after all, the very first R&B performer to be openly gay from the start of his career (gotta love a trailblazer!). Since then, he's had a bunch of club hits, and his third studio album (Transport System) is set for release on October 2. In fact, we've got a snippet of his new single for you to take a listen! Sigh. Guess I'll have to cuddle up with a glass of wine and IFC this weekend. Not quite as exciting as a night with Ari in the flesh, but I'll make it work ;)
